You must have noticed by now that I keep on adding new stuff to my blog that will make it look better . First I changed my default blogger template to this decent and nice looking template . Then I added few widgets to my blog and now I have added this. Yes my fellow readers I have added these emotions to my blog posts that will give me something to fell good about. Thanks to Logan Wolverine for providing the script . You can also add this feature to your blogger blogs which I am afraid you can not do in default post formatting .

Bad luck for my commentators that they will not be able to take advantage of this new addition and they can not use these emotions in their comments . But I figured out a way to allow them to do so . I will be adding another add on shortly that will allow emotions in comments too.

Getting free traffic for your blog

Blogger was having some technical issues for the past few days as a result of which I was unable to update this blog so sorry readers if you find the same posts each day . Therefore, from this moment onwards I will keep this blog updated at least bi-weekly. I am sure you must have noticed few additions to my blog .I have added two more widgets . Both are assumed to bring me more traffic and hopefully more readers .

The first one is the Blogrush widget in the left side column. It is supposed to show post titles from other blogs that are somewhat relevant to my blog . You can choose different color widgets . I selected this one since it blends well into my template. I was not familiar nor aware of how this will bring me traffic until I signed in to my Blogrush account ads the now many times my post have been syndicated or appeared on other such blogs . I was very much disappointed to know that out of 564 syndications for my blog posts only one visitor came to my site through this widget .


Although this is a very low percentage, but it is free traffic and you do not have to do anything to get traffic from Blorrush network of blogs . The good thing is that this percentage can be increased by referring other bloggers to join Blogrush through your invitation . This will increase the traffic to your blog since your blog posts will now also be syndicated through their Blogrush widgets . Therefore, the more bloggers you invite the higher are the chances of getting more traffic.

The second widget I have installed is of MyBlogLog . This is also a cool looking widget since it displays the picture of recent visitors to your blog and also a link to their MyBlogLog profile . MyBlogLog is not just a widget provider, but it is a kind of community for bloggers and a rather huge one.

Give your blog a complete makeover

When I started this blog I selected Blogger to host my blog since they offer free blog service and for a person like me who does not know much about web programming and coding blogger seems to be a decent choice.

Blogger has few default templates that might be fine for a blogger that does not worry about the appearance of his blog but for those who want to take their blogging experience to an upper they have to move on and look for different templates that suits their blogging requirements.

Other than a new template you can also get some cool widgets for your blog . Some of them are not offered by blogger but you can have them in your blog since there are some lovely characters out there that like to help other fellow bloggers so that they can make their blog look better .

Remember that your blog layout is what a new visitor sees before he begins to browse your blog posts. So this is the first impression to the visitor so it is upto you whether you choose those default templates offered by blogger.com or you want to give your blog a complete makeover by replacing your current template with some cool looking template and also spice up your blog with some awesome widgets.

Few things to keep in mind when building links

Link building is not just throwing your link any place that you are allowed to place a link . This will not help the cause and will even lower your site's link popularity. Few important things should me kept in mind as you build links for your site are :

1. Make sure you have a site worth linking to. You must have unique or valuable content to make your site linking worthy.

2. It is wise to spend few hours a week on building links. Manual link building may be a slow process and tedious too, but automating the process just doesn't get the same results. The search engines are smart enough to be suspicious when your site suddenly acquires thousands of back links over night.

3. Varying your anchor text is advised .When you generate links from within a sites content , it appears more natural looking to search engines. Search engines will also notice if every single one of your back links reads the something.

The most easy back links to get for your site is from a web forum.There are thousands of forums out there to chose from.Once you have chosen a forum that is related to your site , register with those forums and start participating in the forum by giving useful suggestions and sharing your thoughts with others.Do not spam the forum by posting single sentence posts like the ones shown below:

-Yes you are right
-I agree with you
-Well done !

Some forums consider this as spamming and if the are very strict in moderation then you might be kicked and banned from the forum.So use some common sense and only post when you have something useful to share.This will also enhance your reputation on forums. Now comes the part of building back links for your site through those forums.Most of the forums allow its members to use signature links which is attached to each post that is on the forum .Signature link might look something like the one shown in the picture below.
