
Pakistan telecommunication authority has lifted the ban on one of the most popular video-sharing sites youtube.The owner of youtube , Google also has confirmed that the access has been restored by Pakistan.
The ban was imposed when Pakistan government ordered more than 70 ISPs to block access to youtube site.The reason for this action by the Pakistani government is considered to be an upcoming trailer of a movie by Dutch laymaker Greet Wilders.It is known that the movie portrays Islam in a manner that will surly have outraged the Muslim world.
The ban was only meant for Pakistan but unfortunately it extended to more than one third population of the world.As a result , many can not access the site for about two hours.
Pakistani officials said that this was a mistake by one of their telecom engineer and it was unintentional.The other countries that also restricted access to youtube include Turkey ,Thailand and Morocco.
